The Knightsbridge department store is now the go-to place for products and treatments from the innovative Swiss cosmeceutical brand

The Swiss ‘cosmeceutical’ brand Nescens–which is known for its anti-ageing creams and serums–continues its expansion into the UK after launching in luxury store Harrods earlier this week [15 April].

Founded 20 years ago by professor Jacques Proust, Nescens specialises in anti-ageing services, treatments and skincare products, many of which are developed at its clinic in Genolier, near the shores of Lake Geneva in Switzerland. Nescens’ launch at Harrods is the latest stage of its foray into the UK beauty market, which started in 2020. Its ‘cosmeceuticals’ (cosmetic products with bioactive ingredients which apparently have medical benefits) and facial treatments are currently available at Harrods’ fifth-floor Hair and Beauty Salon. Among the products on offer at Harrods range from a limited-edition skincare set priced at £100 which includes an activating tonic and cleansing gel to it’s state of the art Stem Cells Face Activator Serum, which costs £495. The products are also available to buy online via the Harrods website.

Nescens has also developed a bespoke facial care menu for Harrods which includes its unique Oxylight Facial. This non-invasive treatment combines ultrasound, microcurrents, LED light, lymphatic drainage and negative ionised oxygen to reduce signs of aging by sublimating the skin and promoting cell regeneration .

The Oxylight Facial is unique to Harrods and is priced from £175 (for one-hour). "Harrods is an icon in the world of cosmetics,” says Guillaume Vanthier, CEO of Nescens. “The presence of Nescens at Harrods is not only an honour but also recognition of the work undertaken by my team for eight years, and a significant milestone.
