New podcast company GreenBear Productions launches
GreenBear Productions aims to help brands ride the podcast boom.
The stats around podcasts are pretty impressive. There are an estimated 4m podcasts registered across the globe (if you’re interested, South Korea has the highest number of listeners). A quarter of people in the UK (25%) are regular podcast listeners. Meanwhile, over in the US, podcast advertising revenue is forecast to reach $4bn in 2024 according to the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB). There are big numbers involved: Spotify reportedly signed a $200m deal to host the podcast from controversial personality Joe Rogan (who was also accused of promoting misinformation about Covid vaccines).
With numbers like that, it’s hardly any surprise brands are embracing podcasts for their own content marketing. Aiming to help them with that is GreenBear Productions, which launches today [3 April]. The Surrey-based audio and video production company specialises in creating branded podcasts and video content marketing for businesses.
The package of services that GreenBear aims to provide will run the gamut of everything needed to create, market and promote a podcast. Alongside producing the podcast, they can shoot videos, project manage the entire experience, look after email marketing and sort out the social media too. They also provide graphic design services which brands can use for their social media assets or online branding.
GreenBear’s client list is already impressive and includes training companies 4D Human Being and Team Triad. They also have a strong focus on health and wellbeing - they are currently creating the Relationship Matters podcast (for CRR Global) and Folk Tales, stories from the UK’s boating community for marina management company Boatfolk.
GreenBear is run by Andy Greening, who previously worked as senior creative producer at the River Group publishing house.
